2013 has been pretty busy so far with both of our work schedules and keeping up with our little ball of energy. This girl does not stop until she crashes at bedtime...it is truly amazing. Ellis has "graduated" into the toddler room at school (The Nursery Rhyme Room), and loves the extra socialization, singing, games, and playground time. Just the other day, Ellis and I were hanging out in the kitchen jamming to the Pandora Raffi station, and "The Wheels on the Bus" came on. She instantly started doing all of these hand motions (wheels, wipers...) that I had never seen before. She is a little sponge and is learning all kinds of cool stuff from school. We have to work hard to keep up.
She remains fascinated with music and loves to dance. She points at everything as if to ask "what's that?" We read often, and she gets a kick out of pointing to objects on the page for you to tell her what it is. She loves girly stuff like princesses and has this little gray kitty cat that she carries around. She says a number of words like mommy, daddy, kitty, ball, banana, cheese, all done, ba (bottle).
Ellis just got ear tubes last week, so we are hoping that helps with the ear infections that she seems to be getting quite often. It was a pretty quick and easy process, and she recovered quickly within a day or two. I think the whole thing was harder on Scot and me than it was on Ellis.
Here are some random pictures over the last couple of weeks, I know that is what you came here for...
