Six Months

Half a year has gone by already since we brought Ellis home from the hospital!  I can't believe it.  Our little munchkin has grown so fast...she will be graduating before I know it!

Here are the stats:

Height:  25.3" (33%)
Weight:  13 lb 15.5 oz (12.6%)
Head Circumference:  17" (71.4%)

Her head has grown exponentially compared to her little body!  Must be that huge brain.  Here are some recent pictures of the bobblehead herself.  You can see that she is becoming much more active!

At six months old, Ellis...

  • sits up like a big girl
  • loves to hang out on the floor and play with all of her toys, especially her fun cube, sock monkey, and puppy that plays music
  • grabs anything and everything that she can get her hands on
  • loves to lick the outside of a cold glass of ice water (we can't get this girl too close to a fish tank)
  • lights up when mommy comes home from work (awe)
  • has started eating solid foods, like cereal, pears, bananas, apples, and squash
  • still wakes up at least once in the middle of the night to eat
  • goes to bed at 7:00...this girl is an early bird
  • scoots around on the floor, and just started to get on her hands and knees
  • transfers toys from hand to hand
  • throws a ball (and anything else really)
  • is the cutest darn thing that I've ever seen

Happy Father's Day!

Scot had a very special 1st Father's Day weekend.

First, we got to hang out with my family and the cousins had a chance to play.  It is so funny to watch them just stare at each other.  At this point, all they are really interested in is grabbing at each other's faces.  One day they will be playing Barbies and Uno together...

Noelia and Ellis. (as a side note, I love when I have
a great picture of Ellis and then, wham, there is a big ol booger)

Nanna and Papaw bought the girls their first car.

Still can't believe my brother is a Dad.

Then, on Sunday, Scot wanted to spend the day just hanging out with Ellis.  So, we walked down to Brasil for breakfast and then went shopping for toys.  Yes, Scot wanted to go shopping for "learning" toys for Ellis on his special day.  What a great dad...

 Walking to breakfast...

Walking home...get this girl some sunglasses!
