This past Sunday, Ellis was baptized. We had prepared for this day for quite some time, taking classes even before she was born. We were so excited for her special day, and no doubt beaming with pride! She did absolutely wonderful throughout the entire ceremony and even smiled right before the water was poured over her head. It was something that we will remember forever, and can't wait to remind Ellis all about it one day when she is older. Thanks to everyone who was able to celebrate with us!

Three Months Old
I am a few days late on this one, but last Thursday was Ellis's three-month birthday! What a big girl. I look back at my one month old pictures and am amazed at how time has flown by. Check it out...

One month old...
What is Ellis like at three months old?
- She loves to play "superman" as she flies through the air
- She sleeps pretty good at night, waking one or two times usually to eat
- She recognizes her favorite faces (Mommy and Daddy, of course)
- She is starting to baby-talk with lots of coo's, ah's, and oh's
- She enjoys checking herself out in the mirror...the closer the better
- She will pull herself up to a sitting position with a little bit of help
- She is sleeping like a big girl in her crib
- Her hair remains totally uncontrollable, sticking straight up in every direction, but still adorable
- She holds her hands clasped in front of her in a prayer position most of the time
- She is grasping at toys
- She loves reading and will grab at the pages, though not able to turn them herself

Random Pictures
I have slacked off at updating the blog already! Ellis has started to become more alert, playing with toys (staring, batting, and grabbing) and is becoming more engaged every day. Here are a bunch of action shots.
One of her favorite books is about zoo animals with holes to look through, like a mask. "I am a lion. Look at me!"

Just chillin' in da crib.
First time grabbing a toy.
Getting better at tummy time...still hate it though!
Seriously? Thanks for the hairdo, mom.
