Five Months

Can you believe it?!  Five months already.  I know I always say this, but it seems to have gone by so quickly!  It feels like just yesterday was Christmas Day and we were bringing her home from the hospital.  Wow.

Five-month old Ellis...

• Can roll over both ways, but is stingy with the belly-to-back rolls.  She saves those for special occasions like the middle of the night and other times when you are not watching.
• Is really close to sitting up on her own.  She can sit upright with a little help and can hold herself up like a tripod for a few minutes before slumping over.
• Scoots several inches to reach her favorite toys.
• Loves music.
• Smiles ear to ear when you kiss her on the face.
• Giggles when you let a blanket fall onto her like a parachute.  Over and over and over again.
• Bangs on the table whenever we go out.  Thanks to Daddy for teaching her that one.
• Is enamored by Big Bird.  We have nearly worn out the Sesame Street Beginnings book that we found for $1 at Target.  
• Likes to be outside, but hates the sun in her eyes.
• Reaches out for your face when you talk to her.  I find this to be so sweet...even when she jabs her claws into your eyes.  My bad for not cutting her fingernails often enough.
